The whiny story of slogging through writing my first novel.

It's Back!

From vacation at TrinocCon. I'm tired and dehydrated from a wee bit o drinking and traveling on the always fun airlines. I got cool prezzies from my buds and it's always fun to listen to writers talk. Kate's new story is TOO much fun and I really hope she can place it somewhere.

Of course almost no writing , about 360 words on Saturday in the middle of a crowded hallway - in other words the kind of place I normally do my writing. But yesterday I had a nifty idea that I immediately wrote down. Then I was overheated and sank back onto the couch.

Last night was out "team" party to end the year. I was especially struck with Vella saying in her speech that there were no serious injuries during the year. Nice.

Yeah, it's amazing how much you and Susan could drink ;-)

Thanks for the kind words on my story. Time for revisions with all the helpful comments (fixing my ignorance).

You did more writing than I did this week. Argh -- I didn't even do a serial chapter, so I am very naughty.

No serious injuries is not a claim many teams can make.

Great to see you two -- wish we could more often. And with such dramatic readings!

I'm pretty sure I drank most of a case of Coors. BUT, I haven't touched a drop since Susan's neighbors left.

I love your zombie western and am keeping my fingers crossed big time you can find a home for it. If you're not adverse to online, and even though the editor is a horses ass, you might try Helix.

It's always great to visit, and when we have more time we hope to be able to do more of it.

Well, there were a good number of mountain beers left, because I drank a few (after the Bass ran out).

I love that story, too, and I think it will place faster than the last few stories because it's squarely in a recognizable genre (okay, two genres, but --). It's just a bit long (okay, a lot long).

There are a few places it might go. If they don't pan out, I'll certainly try Helix.

You're going to have to visit us up here in the beautiful Hudson Valley! If we can work out some travel grants, maybe we can do research in Bloomington.
